Our holiday cottages, designed by a wheelchair user
Our cottages were designed by a wheelchair user who understands the problems of accessibility. The access to the cottages is exceptionally good and the purpose built footpaths make the farm accessible too so that everyone can enjoy the magnificent views.
We are centrally placed in the North Pennines area of outstanding natural beauty within easy reach of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Durham or York, making it an ideal holiday destination. As owners, we believe in making your holiday as relaxed and pleasurable as possible. Our personal experience with dealing with disabilities means that everyone including those who use a wheelchair or less able to walk without help can enjoy a stay at our cottages.
" We stayed in Robin cottage for one night as we hiked The Pennine Way. Extremely grateful the cottages are available for hikers thus avoiding extra mileage into Barnard Castle. Cottage was perfect and Michael kindly arranged to provide an evening meal bought from a local pub to avoid us having to carry the food for dinner. This was absolutely delicious and just what we needed. They then provided enough for a breakfast before we went on our way. Perfect in every way, maybe we can return for more than one night! Thank you very much."
