Mellwater Barns - Terms of Use

1. Payment Terms:

   Full payment 4 weeks prior to arrival. Please note that Christmas and New Year Bookings require a 50% deposit of the total cost 8 weeks prior to arrival with the balance 4 weeks prior to arrival.
   
   

2. Bookings:

   All bookings will be confirmed in writing.
   
   

3. Number of Persons:

   The number of persons using the Barn Cottages is not to exceed the maximum number stated in the Mellwaters Barn leaflet without prior written agreement.
   
   

4. Cancellation:

   In the case of cancellation you must contact us at your earliest opportunity in writing.

   Cancellations made within 4 weeks of your arrival will result in loss of full amount.

   We shall use our best efforts to re-let your cottage and if this is possible we shall refund your monies in full.

   We would advise our visitors to take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover any eventuality.

5. Arrivals and departures:

   Clients are requested to arrive after 15.30 hours on the day of arrival and to vacate the property by 10.00 hours on the day of departure.
   
   

6. Access:

   The owner of Mellwaters Barn or his representative is to be allowed access to the cottage at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy.
   
   

7. Your Cottage:

   Your cottage will be available from 15:00 hours on your day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 hours on your day of departure.

   If possible please let us know your likely time of arrival.

   Any damages, breakages of mal-function of equipment must be reported to us at the earliest opportunity to enable us to rectify the situation. We reserve the right to make a charge for any serious damage.

   All cottages are strictly non smoking.

   Please leave your cottage in the same condition as you found it. If the cottage is left in an unsatisfactory condition there will be an additional charge.

8. Complaints:

   Whilst Mellwaters Barn tries to do everything possible to give you a successful and enjoyable holiday sometimes things can go wrong. Please report any dissatisfaction to the owner of Mellwaters Barn or his representative immediately.
   
   

9. Living on a farm:

   Mellwaters Barn is in the heart of the countryside, and we often work from early morning until late evening. This can add to your holiday experience so do remember to make allowances for country noises and aromas!
   
   

10. Pets:

    We regret that we cannot accommodate pets as Mellwaters Barn is on a working farm. However, this condition does not apply to Guide or Assistance Dogs.
    
    

11. Data Protection Policy:

    In order to process your booking and to ensure that your holiday arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements, we need to use the information you provide such as name, address and special needs etc.
    
    Mellwaters Barn take full responsibility for ensuring proper security measures are in place to meet and to protect your information. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs / immigration if required by them or as required by law.
    
    We will not however, pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your accommodation arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give us such as details of any disabilities and any requirements pertaining to disabilities.
    
    Your data controller is Mellwaters Barn.
    
    You are entitled to a copy of your information held by us. If you would like to see this please contact us.
