General Cottage Information

All the cottages have level entry front doors from the farmyard * and parking is either at the front door (Blue Tit, Kingfisher and Swallow Cottages) or a few metres away (Robin and Wren). Prices include heating, electricity, linen and towels, your only cost is food. All cottages are fully equipped (Blue Tit, Kingfisher and Swallow have dishwashers) and designed to give maximum possible access for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Full central heating throughout, individually controllable in each room All cottages have profiling beds for maximum comfort to ensure a good nights sleep. It is possible to join some of the cottages together to allow for larger parties to stay 'under one roof'. The Laundry Room is available for the use of our visitors. It has excellent drying facilities as well as washing machines and a tumble dryer. Ironing facilities are also available. For the less able Blue Tit and Kingfisher Cottages both have through lifts, Swallow has a platform lift suitable for a manual wheel chair whilst Robin and Wren each have a stair lift. All the bathrooms with a bath have a ceiling hoist, grab rails and other disability equipment is available, please contact us for your requirements. For our younger visitors we have a travel cot and highchair To show our appreciation of you visiting Mellwaters Barn you will find some welcoming "goodies" in your cottage. Wake up to wildlife, if you are very lucky and depending on the time of year you could see black grouse, deer or otters. Working farm, so sorry no pets, assistance dogs excepted. All cottages are strictly non smoking.
